Richard Feynman won Nobel in 1965 but was insanely popular for his teaching methodology. He was leading scientists in QED and his popular interpretation of Quantum Mechanics are really light shredding. But many people remember him for his great lectures.
The rockstar of physics has really produced scintillating lectures of physics which are transcribed and available in internet . Whenever i scroll through pdfs of his lectures it gives me a great joy to see through awesome illustration of fundamental facts.
Teaching is really sometimes beyond presenting facts , scrolling pages and reading paragraphs. It's an art. Feynman was master of the art.
I really want to take this quote from preface of Feynman lectures- When asked how did you feel on completing such a wonderful semester,Feynman quoted-"I really feel i failed as my students performance are below average, next semester i will come with more energy and practice". The man had won a Nobel , was part of the Manhattan project and had nothing to prove but was determined to deliver best to his students.
I believe we too need such wonderful teachers and students who are devoted to master this craft of learning.
Learning is actually quoted in here as Feynman famously implied you can grasp 95% of a concept (more than other means) by teaching.
